Why not backup, it is cheap.

90% of computer users do not back up their computer daily, weekly, or even monthly. In other words you don’t back up your hard drive at all.

Hard drive failure is at about 10% and will continue to go up as they get older. Information that will not be recovered because it is too costly for the regular user. When a crash happens in a business, 50% of those businesses do not come back from it. Now we have a simple solution to the problem of hard drives crashing and taking memories with them.
The solution that seems to be the best is backup online, backup online with who? you ask. Back up online services have become silly cheap, I mean how much do you pay for satellite TV or cable TV? Backing up your files online should cost as much as these other services that you might consider necessary, but it doesn’t.

Now think for a moment of how many things you have in your computer that you cannot afford to have disappear forever.

  • Pictures from digital cameras, or digital movies.
  • Emails from your partner (personal or business).
  • Tax information from all of those years of filing online.
  • School work like essays, research, homework.
  • MP3s that will be gone.
  • Your favorites in either IE or Firefox.
  • Documents.
The list could go on for a while depending on how old your hard drive is and how much stuff is in it.
With hard drive's capacity increasing, you will have so much more to lose. Imagine your hard drive being your closet in your room, and imagine that closet gone without any warning. That's what a hard drive is in your computer. How many closets are you willing to lose before you learn the leason?

Now also consider this.
MS Windows is a very stable operating system starting back with their version of Windows 2000. Then Windows XP came out and everyone that uses Windows fell in love with that version. Now you might have a pc running XP with your recovery partition in the hard drive. I know if you bought a pc with either Vista or Windows 7 then your recovery most likely is in the hard drive. If your hard drive crashes you will need to “BUY” the recovery cds from the manufacturer of that pc adding more burden. At least you will not have to lose all of your information too.

Your pc could get a virus infection even with some of the precautions you may take to prevent it from happening. In other words you don’t have to have the hard drive just crash on you, your data could be compromised in so many other ways.

Please get online back up given how it’s so cheap to get and simple to have, if not then you heard it here and when it happens you will only have yourself to blame.
